Hey, Margaret! Let's go have lunch in Vancouver!
Margaret sighs, her face expressing nostalgia.
MARGARET

I haven't been in Vancouver for a long time. Don't you think there's a feeling of movement in this house? Like we're on a train or it's an earthquake.

SCENE 2 - INSIDE THE HOUSE - DAY
Suddenly, the doorbell rings. Margaret looks through the peephole and sees the landlord.
MARGARET
(panicking)
Damn, I completely forgot he was coming today.
She opens the door.
LANDLORD
(smiling)
I have a package for you 📦.
MARGARET
(remembering)
Oh, right, I asked the courier to leave it at the door 🚪. I wasn’t in the mood.
She looks at the box from an unknown sender.
CATS
(whispering)
What if it’s from the tax office? Maybe that jerk from the last date?
The landlord looks at the box.
LANDLORD
(concerned)
Margaret, it’s all soaked. How long have you been cooped up in here?
MARGARET
(uncertain)
A few days, I think…
LANDLORD
(seriously)
I’ll go wash my hands. You didn’t forget about our agreement, did you?
MARGARET
(confidently)
Of course I remember. Here’s half; I’ll give you the rest later. I’ll pay everything at the end of the month. This is the last time.
Suddenly, a watering can falls. Margaret starts to laugh nervously. She turns away.
LANDLORD
(puzzled)
What’s going on? Why are you laughing?
Here, there will be a voiceover of Margaret.
MARGARET’S VOICE (OFF-SCREEN)
(embarrassed)
Sometimes I have nervous laughter. The last time was at the bank. I couldn’t hold it in because of a funny hairstyle of one of the employees.
Margaret tries to calm down.
MARGARET
(hastily)
No, no, I just choked. I’ll fix that watering can. It just needs a bolt tightened.
After a 3-second pause, the landlord says:
LANDLORD
(getting up)
Alright, I need to go. Keep my house safe and sound!
Margaret replies with relief.
MARGARET
(smiling)
Of course, bye.
As soon as the door closes, Margaret sighs.
MARGARET
(laughing)
Oh, I barely held back my laughter. That was unbearably difficult.
The cats laugh along with her.

SCENE 3 - ARGUMENT WITH THE CATS
Margaret decides to see what’s in the box. She is completely soaked, so it’s unclear who the sender is. She opens it and sees something important inside. She realizes that something is wrong with her, as she couldn’t even bring herself to step outside to retrieve a box that was soaked from the rain.
CAT 1

It’s time for you to change something in your life.

(dissatisfied)
Fine? We haven’t left this house in a week!
Margaret opens the door to leave the apartment. But suddenly she discovers that her home has turned into a train racing at full speed. She can’t exit or stop it. Slamming the door shut, she starts pacing around the house in a panic, looking out of all the windows, not understanding how this happened.
CATS
(in agreement)
But you wanted to stay home! Nothing threatens us here. Plus, there’s delivery.

But you wanted to stay home! Nothing threatens us here. Plus, there’s delivery.
Margaret begins to yell at her pets, blaming them for everything.
MARGARET
(in fury)
NO! Everything is terrible! It’s all your fault for holding me back! You manifested your fears! And now my house is a train, and I don’t know how to stop it!

She then turns to her daughter, who was standing in the corner of the room and overheard her dialogue.
Through the daughter’s eyes, we see a shocked mother standing in another corner of the room.
DAUGHTER
(in French)
Good morning, Mom.
